One Year Anniversary!

Where did the time go?

It’s been quite the year since I started this Substack!

In the past year I’ve written just over 45,000 words of fiction, published three short stories, and signed a contract for another. Not my most productive year, for sure, but progress is progress. I’ve got a novella finished, a couple of short stories nearly complete, and another novella with about 5,000 words already on the page. I’ve also started a less-than-serious Alternate History serial here on Substack which you can read about here:

All this while working a very busy day job and welcoming our third child to the family. Like I said, quite the year. I can’t say that I’m thrilled with my word count or feel like I’m writing enough, but it’s enough for right now. My family will always be the top priority for me, and writing is definitely squeezed in the middle of the back seat between the car seats for now.

But in spite of that, 195 (!!!) of you are following me here, and 63 of you actually clicked a link and gave me your email so I could send you my rambling thoughts. I’m incredibly grateful for your support.
